Unreliable operation:
I purchased this in Nov2009. It only seems to work when it wants to. I had to goto the support site to reload the units software. That helped once. However now it quit again and checking software update did not help. I have it hooked up to a Windows XP SP3 system via USB cable.
Great sound quality but not fully compatible with Netgear wireless router:
It doesn't work too well with my Netgear Wireless G router as the sound cuts in and out occasionally for a few seconds. There may be some adjustments to make on the router but I haven't tried anything yet. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.
Good Product; However,:
Good product; however, it does interfere with my Linksys 2.4 Ghz wireless router when it is "plugged up". it doesn't even have to be turned on to inhibit me from finding the wireless signal on my laptop. otherwise is a great product, it does a great job on transmitting the audio with Super quality, just be mindful of the wireless network interference. I know the product advertises that it won't interfere but it did with mine, maybe it is a "router" specific problem. So, give it a try!!
Warning: Create X-Fi NOT compatible with Creative X-Fi:
So, I spend 90 USD on a soundcard for my notebook because I like the idea of wireless streaming. Unfortunately, in order to enjoy the wireless streaming, I needed to buy a separate Creative X-Fi Wireless Receiver. So I spend another 50 USD on the receiver. Unfortunately, the X-Fi Notebook only connects with a specific X-Fi Wireless receiver, while other X-Fi Wireless Receivers are not compatible.
